# 11- July 24th, 2008 -last stop in Victoria

No time for the long story. The race was a great shake down for the boat. Many thanks to those who organized it.

We spent some days in Nanaimo tweaking a few things. Heading for Victoria on July 24th for a few days business, and then off sot Port Townsend and points further south. More details when we have time.

Leaving Nanaimo-the short haul

The happy ending:

After hitting a log on June 3rd,  sustaining considerable damage to the shaft, we are now back in the water with all systems working. We had a wonderful month in Nanaimo. More about that later when we have time for the Long Haul story.
We will be sailing to Montague Harbour tomorrow, July 4th. After that, it’s in and around the Gulf Islands till we head for Victoria the week of the 10th of July (Yikes! that’s next week!!!).         Schooner races from the 13th-19th and then heading south.
We’ll be in front of the Empress on the night of the 14th.
